Happy Fall Rainier Jr. Sr. High School Parents, Guardians and Families!
The weather is changing and the cool mornings are upon us. The rains are on their way. Please make sure your learner comes to school dressed for the weather. Staying warm and dry is important. Please be aware that I now have the 25-26 Parent / Student handbook available on the RJSHS website for you to review. It’s important that you have access to the school and district expectations. We will be reviewing the handbook with all students next week. A safe and structured learning environment is a top priority for our school.
Sports, the Mealtime program, clubs and opportunities to socialize are all a part of the school day, however the number one reason to come to school each day is to learn. As your learner continues to work towards graduation, we want them to have the skills for their future. Our students may be going on to a university, a community college, a vocational program or directly entering the workforce. Whatever choice they make, we want them to be well prepared.
Part of that preparation is attending school on a regular basis, getting to class on time and trying to do their best. Not everyone is a straight A student. Our skilled staff works to help everyone do the best they can. To graduate, students in grades 9-12 need to earn 25 credits in specific areas. We will do everything we can to help them succeed but they have to choose to participate in their educational process.
Be sure and review the Student/Family handbook. It can be found at:
1. Open the RJSHS web page on the district website
2. Select Family Information
3. Scroll to the bottom and select RJSHS Student/Family Handbook
Kindest regards,
